The blogs, the reviews and the listings all packaged up for you plus more

Degrees unedited is a free service for all creative students during their BA or MA studies: being one of a-n's 'unedited' sites, any of its registered users can upload and contribute to its ongoing content.

Finding its beginnings during 2005, the site now covers most of the UK's universities and colleges. However there is still breadth for other institutions to get involved: this is where you students come in, without your valued input the site would cease to function. Thankfully we do have input, which is varied and ever more interesting as each academic year progresses and we have a lot to offer in return.

The blogs

The unedited blogs give great opportunity for insight in to art practice during studentship. They make for an interesting read just as much as providing a platform for your debate and supportive or critical cross-institutional comment.

As Degrees unedited's focus is largely your journey through to degree show season, its important to get started early with the blogs. Even if this means starting your own unedited personal journalistic story in your second, first or even foundation/portfolio prep year.

Also, you won't be sought after straight away if you write something profound, Degrees unedited is about mutual appreciation of other students and the commonality in circumstance you may or may not share. It's a chance to broaden your network, explore, collaborate, invite and work with people nationally.

The reviews

Like some people have said: Art School may not just be for artists, its for writers, historians, theoreticians and critics alike and Degrees unedited it here to help you hone in on what your good at, whether it be writing about your own work or the presentation of others.

The reviews section allows students to be creative as well as critical within their peer group. It also encourages you to develop your own opinions and start visiting private views and events in your area, giving you a reason to get sociable and start asking questions that people in the professional world might be afraid to ask.
