Here are some pictures of '5 Photographers' a new exhibition in The Manchester Metroplitan University's All Saints Library curated by myself and the library featuring work from five of the BA Hons Photography Degree's new graduates.

Got a First Class Honours for my degree in Photography and can't really believe it...I haven't had time to take stock... as I have been preparing for a new exhibition at All Saints Library, Manchester called 5 Photographers. The show is simply a selection of work by 5 photographers, including myself, from the BA Hons Photography Degree course. Should be up on the walls by Wednesday 30th June. This is my new book piece/ magazine, 'A Visit To an Art School.' It is a collection of current photos of the students and work spaces at Manchester School of Art along with some found images and some archive photographs. It is printed in blue to represent the changes that are happening at the school and the negative feelings that they are producing. 'A Visit To An Art School' is a glimpse into student life past and present.

I hope to show the book alongside an 8mm film piece I am screening...

Just handed in all my work, the deadline has passed but I still have the nervous energy left over.I should try and harness this before it slips away...

This is a quick edit of my most recent film . It is a piece about the idea of idealism, based on photographs taken at Black Mountain College. The film represents the zen approach to physical activity... Through years of practice, a physical activity becomes effortless both mentally and physically, as if the body executes complex and difficult movements without conscious control from the mind....This is also a response to the teachings of Merce Cunningham and John Cage...There is an 8mm film version of this, that is still being processed. Hopefully it will come in time for the degree show and be able to show the beauty of trial and error in flickering movie motion...

Starting to put the pieces together, tick the boxes, sort out the portfolio and say everything I want to say in my journal...Iv'e got two weeks til my deadline and I am strangely calm...Which is pobably not good...

Pages from my new book Ephemeron the third installment to the Undercroft project I have been working on. A project about the demise of the Chatham Undercroft building at Manchester School of Art. The book is a selection of writings by Mandi Goodier, myself, a few anonymous and archive material from the Manchester School of Art archive....Words written in the Chatham Undercroft Building and about it.

The Undercroft Project is a satellite book project alongside my main work, entitled Art School...an exploration of life at art school past and present, the idea of idealism....

Call for Submissions!

This is for students/tutors past and present of Manchester School of Art....
I am looking for people to write a few words or lines about the soon to be demolished Chatham Undercroft Building at Manchester School of Art, for a new book I am working on about the building. You could have happy memories about times when you taught or were taught in that building, moments of failure and enlightenment that you would like to share. I'm after lot's of different viewpoints, they can be abstract or very specific, thoughts feelings or facts that originated in or are about the Undercoft building.

Write a few words or a few hundred words, I'm keen to hear your thoughts.
