My work draws from current trends and attitudes toward the extremities of weight loss or gain and also the growing culture of rebranding or reconstructing the human form throuh aesthetic surgery.  I have tried to engineer a series of works that explore and challenge these concepts.  The contrast between industrial materials and latex create a sense of a female figure that has been constructed according to commercial standards.  The added animation of the customised air pump introduces a new element to the work, a sense of humanised, slightly robotic movements of inflating and deflating.  Further enhancing its engineered quality.
