MA/MFA Degree Show 2010

Cardiff School of Art and Design announces its first ever Masters Exhibition to showcase both MA and MFA graduates.  This year, 15 graduates from Korea, India, Spain, Finland and the UK will combine the outcomes of both academically and practically weighted research routes in an exhibition that encompasses a wide range of artistic disciplines; sculpture, painting, printmaking, installation and audio-visual. As the exhibition marks the first graduating year for the new MFA course, it is befitting that it should reflect the inevitable diversity of artists from both courses and that this, in turn, provides a tone for the exhibition in its entirety.  The eclectic nature also demonstrates how, at masters level, the focus on concept and finding its appropriate medium of expression can instigate a departure from an artist’s initial training and professional practice.
