I work with technical pen as a rule; producing black and white drawings mainly on flat 2D planes like paper. I am interested in personal desire, and how this has an impact on society and the planet; I feel there are strong links in the breadth of complexity within the sublime planet and the social activities of the human habitat. I am interested in raising awareness of environmental instability as an artist rather than an activist. I feel I have an argument to place with the anarchy of society. To convey compulsion in its raw state of everyday life.

Neil Jefferies is a London based curator and writer who currently contributes to Aesthetica Magazine and londonMouth. He ran tactileBOSCH Gallery & Studios for two years before moving to London in 2010 to study an MFA in Curating at Goldsmiths, University of London. He won the Contemporary Art Society's inaugural Starting Point Prize in 2010 and has previously developed exhibitions at Southampton City Art Gallery, Cell Project Space, and Zabludowicz Collection.
