The Rea Garden is an outdoor artist project space situated in the heart of Digbeth, Birmingham. It was a sealed off for almost 20 years as the site of a burned down factory, which uninterrupted for the duration of this time, was allowed to transform into an overgrown wilderness.

The site is now being used by Behind Closed Doors to host ‘The Rea Garden Artist Residency Programme’.

It is coming towards the end of Claudia Borgna’s residency at The Rea Garden. Claudia has occupied the space throughout this rather cold winter creating temporary pieces of work from her ‘very travelled’ recycled plastic bags. Claudia’s final installation at the site will go on show on Thursday 11th March and will be at the site for a further two weeks.
