Bargate Monument, High Street, SOUTHAMPTON, SO14 1HF
a space is an arts organisation helping to make the difficult transition from post educational study to a career within the arts as painless as possible. The original gallery opened in 2002 and began establishing a reputation for working with emerging artistic talent. Moving to the Bargate Monument Gallery in 2006 'a space' have developed a strong reputation for supporting the work of emerging artists; establishing 'The Arches' studio spaces in Southampton as well as organising the city's annual 'ArtsVaults' festival amongst other creative projects.
