ArtSway runs a regular residency/commission programme for artists, offering them time and space to reflect on their practice and develop new work towards a solo exhibition. ArtSway also works with artists to deliver touring projects, including recent tours of new work by Gayle Chong Kwan and Eamon O'Kane while also hosting a highly regarded annual Open Exhibition. Regular Portfolio Days are programmed, where artists can gain feedback from ArtSway Director, Mark Segal, and ArtSway Curator, Peter Bonnell. ArtSway Associates is a professional development and training programme providing advocacy, support, mentoring, training, and seed funding for ten selected artists who have previously undertaken residencies at ArtSway. They have so far received studio visits and ongoing critical support from Mark Segal, assistance in developing funding applications, seed funding for publications, additional marketing for projects, group networking meetings to learn about particular issues as well as website development support and bespoke training. These artists also regularly lead ArtSway Xtra audience development coach trips to off-site activities such as a trip to Frieze Art Fair.
