The Mac Gallery

A four week course run on 4 consecutive Saturdays. Suitable for beginners and experienced artists. Using the gallery and it’s outside surroundings you will have the opportunity to respond by exploring, recording and collecting using your sketch book, and camera. Over the 4 weeks we will all work together to explore some of the following media and techniques, although all students will be following their own particular themes and interests: Stencil printing, Watercolour painting, Collographs, Repeating patterns, Batik, Mono-printing, Transfer printing,Drawing, Oil/acrylic painting, Collage. Students may reach a conclusion in the form of a painting, textile piece or print, or may wish to continue their studies at home. If required, the course could continue for another 4 weeks to enable work to reach completion. All materials will be provided, including a sketch book. You will need to bring; A camera including its USB cable if possible. A packed lunch for each day, although there is a pub next door!
