Co-Recite the Universal Declaration of Human Rights From Memory With Monica Ross [ 15 September 2009 ]

Artists are invite to co-recite the work, Anniversary – an act of memory with theartist Monica Ross. Monica first performed a solo version of this work, rightsrepeated- an act of memory, at Beaconsfield in 2005 and the forthcoming recitation is to be a collective recitation - also from memory - of the 30 articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by artists. Since December 2008 she has been presenting solo and collective versions of the recitation under the title Anniversary - an act of memory. This title refers to the 60th anniversary of the Declaration in December 2008. The aim is to eventually carry out 60 solo, collective and multi-lingual recitations of the text, from memory, in different contexts and with different groups of people. We are planning this return of the work to Beaconsfield as a collective recitation by artists and would very much appreciate it if you would consider taking part.  Read full listing…
