Patriothall Gallery @ WASPS
An artist-led initiative in the heart of Edinburgh, Patriothall Gallery is located within the WASPS Patriothall Studios building in the Stockbridge area of the city and has over its seventeen year history provided exhibiting opportunities for hundreds of emerging and mid-career visual artists. Patriothall Gallery is on the ground floor of the former Co-op bakery building which Workshop and Artists Studio Provision Scotland (WASPS) converted into a studio complex in 1988. From the outset the gallery was created, directed and managed by the studio artists for artists working in any media locally, UK wide and internationally. In 2004 the artists in the building won a campaign to save the building from developers and with the benefit of a grant from the City of Edinburgh Council the future of the building is now secure with a committee of volunteer artists working on developing the gallery exhibition programme. The gallery holds over twenty shows each year.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS - EXHIBIT DURING EDINBURGH FESTIVAL [ 15 January 2010 ]
Call to all artists to submit proposals for exhibiting during the Edinburgh Festival 2010 at Patriothall Gallery. Proposals for exhibiting during the 2011 Edinburgh Festival are also invited. The successful proposal will then be submitted to the Edinburgh Art Festival for selection; proposals for ambitious exhibitions are expected. Read full listing…
