100% Design, Peta Levi Memorial Bursary [ 29 May 2009 ]
Peta Levi, MBE (1938 – 2008) founding Director of Design-Nation was influential in providing platforms from which designers can launch new work. 100% Design has been a champion of Design-Nation and Peta Levi over the years and has supported many designers in exhibiting for the first time or in returning to the show after a long absence. This award recognises the strong links between the two organisations. The Bursary, in memory of Peta Levi, is intended to enable designers at whatever stage of their career to create a significant new piece of work that can be launched to the architecture, interior design, press and retail visitorship at 100% Design. For a younger designer this may be a way of launching themselves in a very special way, for more established designers it may be the reason to take some time to create an entirely new piece of work or to explore new materials or processes.
