SUPERNORMAL [ 31 March 2012 ]

SUPERNORMAL is a three day, experimental arts and music festival at Braziers Park in Oxfordshire. SUPERNORMAL offers a platform for artists, performers and musicians to work collaboratively and creatively, incorporating new methods and mediums into their work for a new kind of audience. SUPERNORMAL presents an innovative weekend of art-focused practice in unfamiliar settings where both impromptu and timetabled events can surprise and delight. Proposals will go through a selection process and will be judged on the quality of the idea, along with an understanding of the context and audience of Supernormal. As an event that promotes an amalgam of experimental art and music, we will be looking for work that may offer a different viewing or participatory experience - that engages and inspires thought, being challenging or easily accessible. Braziers International Artists Workshop [ 19 April 2010 ]

2010 will see the 15th annual gathering of artists at Braziers Park and the 60th anniversary of the founding of the community, which runs Braziers Park, the site for the workshop. We are marking the occasion with a uniquely artist-led project under the title Supernormal. With the emphasis firmly upon experiment and with a sincere belief in the possibility of the avant-garde to resist the current obsessions of commodity and consumption, Supernormal will be an event open to the public over the final weekend of 21st/22nd August, and will be part festival, village fete, living gallery and critical forum.  Read full listing…
