The Sparky Initiative helps raise awareness of the benefits of healthy living; through the promotion of eating properly and getting people active. Part of 'Imagination Our Nation' – a national participatory arts project which uses art to explore the changing world, and looks at how communities can positively embrace the future.

The Sparky Initiative has been commissioned to produce the opening parade of the three-day Fuse Medway arts festival. It is hoped that as many members of the community as possible will be included and a candidate with the relevant skills and background is sought to achieve this. The artist will plan and deliver a series of three workshops with community groups, to produce either something that group members can wear during the parade, or a collaborative 3D structure to be operated by the members of the group or appointed helpers at the Parade.
