The Royal College of Art is the only entirely postgraduate institution of university status that is devoted to the study of art, design and communication. The College has over 900 students following postgraduate courses and the staff, both full and part-time, totals approximately 350. Curating Contemporary Art is one of the leading departments of curatorial  education and research. The Foundry is a College-wide facility enabling students to cast work in bronze, aluminium and lead, in both traditional as well as more exploratory ways.
