The Royal College of Art is the world’s only wholly postgraduate university of art and design, specialising in teaching and research and offering the degrees of MA, MPhil and PhD across the disciplines of fine art, applied art, design, communications and humanities. There are over 900 masters and doctoral students and more than a hundred professionals interacting with them – including scholars, leading art and design practitioners, along with specialists, advisors and distinguished visitors.

The Royal College of Art is the only entirely postgraduate institution of university status that is devoted to the study of art, design and communication. Curating Contemporary Art is one of the leading departments of curatorial education and research. The Computer Technician, Ceramics & Glass will practice, demonstrate, supervise, instruct and advise students in the use of information technology - specifically in 3D modelling applications. The duties will include instructing students in the effective use of hardware and in the operation of 2D and 3D design packages, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, Rhino and PowerPoint, and developing good working practices for the departmental digital environment. The Sculpture Department, based on our Battersea campus, is seeking to recruit a Technical Assistant to work in the Foundry. The Foundry is a College-wide facility enabling students to cast work in bronze, aluminium and lead, in both traditional as well as more exploratory ways. The role will include assisting in the day-to-day work of the Foundry; providing technical support for students; monitoring materials and stock; assisting in the overhaul of all foundry equipment and in the weekly pouring of hot metal in the Foundry.
