WHO: regional artists from Yorkshire and the Humber who have short performance works ready for presentation, or artists who have ideas to perform which are still very much in the early stages of development that they would like to show.
WHAT: Compass Late takes place on Friday 25 November, on the opening night of the Compass Festival of Live Art. It will be a platform for regional artists in which they can try out new performance ideas at their earliest stages in front of a supportive national audience.The event will also be a welcoming point for artists, producers, programmers and others involved in Live Art from across the UK.

We expect that performances will take place in the Project Space at Patrick Studios. The space has a bare concrete floor, white walls and vaulted ceiling. Performance space is flexible in shape but limited in size. No theatrical lighting or sound is available, however, the space is blacked out. Shorter works (10-20 mins) will be favored over longer pieces. Applications should reflect awareness of the recent histories and contemporary trends of Live Art and Contemporary Performance practice in the UK.
