PAYMENTS: £21,740 - £31,017 pa

DETAILS: to deliver high quality instruction in carpentry practical skills to apprentice students studying vocational carpentry programmes at Reading College in the workplace or college Realistic Working Environments. By preparing and assessing work based learning students in their working environments, the successful candidate will improve students’ performance and foster the development of individuals. The post holder will co-ordinate and manage your students, implementing an appropriate learning experience that will lead to their achievement in their chosen programme of study. By planning and reviewing student's targets, you will assist their personal development and contribute to the evaluation of learning and individual assessment plans. You will assist your students in constructing evidence of their work in the form of a portfolio. You will improve the quality of training for students in the workplace and also work with employers to identify and develop workforce opportunities. It is essential that applicants have good organisational and planning skills, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills to enable you to interact effectively with students from a range of different backgrounds.
