WHO: Anyone over 16 years, interested in creating their own bronze sculpture using the lost wax metal casting technique, mouldmaking and wax sculpture.
WHAT: Courses throughout 2012 in Bronze sculpture casting. Participants undertake the ceramic shell lost wax technique to bronze cast 2 to 3 smaller items or a larger piece of their artwork. These are residential courses over 5 full days. Acommodation on site in the s/c studio cottage or nearby in B&B.
WHEN: Bronze Casting 5 day Course Workshops 2012 23rd- 27th April, 7th – 11th May, 4th -8th June, 18th – 22nd June, 2nd – 6th July, 16th – 20th July, 6th – 10th August, 27th – 31st August,
CHARGES: Bronze course £595 incl VAT, with discounts for groups. See website.
DETAILS: Art for Architecture sculpture studios are run by John McKenna, a professional public artist for over 21 years. The Bronze courses will have a MAXIMUM of x4 PERSONS/course, to enable an intensive learning experience, lots of individual attention for each student with 'hands on' practical involvement in the casting process.
