WHO: candidates with a postgraduate qualification in Fine Art or related area with experience of producing high quality practice as research outputs, high profile exhibition of this work and related publication, plus experience of teaching painting and/or sculpture/installation within a higher education context
WHAT: full-time, permanent Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Fine Art
PAYMENTS: £31,020 - £52,706 pa
DETAILS: to contribute to the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the Fine Art Department at University of Kent. The successful applicant will be a highly qualified practitioner with an empathetic and supportive approach to student learning within a studio-based environment. The ability to provide an appropriate quantity of research outputs of 3* and 4* quality for REF2014 is essential and the successful candidate will have experience of producing high quality practice as research outputs, high profile exhibition of this work and related publication. S/he will also have a record of success in obtaining research funding and evidence of peer and professional esteem, such as awards and prizes, exhibitions, funded residencies, refereeing, and significant invitations to speak or participate in professional and academically oriented events. For a Senior Lecturer appointment, the candidate will also have: a demonstrable ability to make a contribution to the University of strategic importance through significant leadership responsibilities; an exceptional and full portfolio of practice as research outputs ready for submission to REF2014 and extensive experience of teaching painting and/or sculpture/installation at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
