WHO: Artists.

WHAT: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an artist experienced in producing high quality, contemporary, public artwork to create an innovative art installation to complement a recently completed housing development within Chichester City. We are looking for an appropriate artwork that gives a sense of interest and intrigue whilst respecting the local historic environment. We do not wish to be prescriptive and want artists to develop ideas based on their own creativity, practice and use of materials. The appointed artist would be expected to work closely with the community on the proposals. A small commissioning group has been set up to oversee the work. We will shortlist three artists who will each receive £500.00 to work up and present their ideas to the selection panel. The chosen artist will then be commissioned to develop and implement the chosen proposal.

PAYMENTS: Budget: £25,000 of which £2,500 has been earmarked for the commissioning process.
