Design Workshop Technician, HE

WHO: those with at least a BTech or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject area (i.e. Product Design; Engineering; Art & Design etc)

WHAT: to provide support, instruction and advice on the use of materials, equipment and processes in all aspects of wood and metal work and studio practices and related Health & Safety matters to staff and students at the School of Design, University of Leeds.

PAYMENTS: salary £19,263 - £22,332 pa

DETAILS: The successful candidate will take responsibility for implementing an equipment loan system and dealing with security and access issues and the general upkeep of School premises. Applicants will hold have knowledge and experience of current art processes (including sculpture; woodwork; metalwork; welding; plastering etc) and possess a flexible approach to all requirements of the School.
