WHO: visual artists working in any medium.
WHAT: Artist in Residence project and commission at the Neurorehabilitation Unit at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queens Square, London. Annual award offered by Paintings in Hospitals with the support of the Max Reinhardt Charitable Trust. The winning artist will be required to work on site to involve patients, staff and visitors in creative activities activities suitable for the ward and its users and to produce a site-specific work of art for permanent display in the hospital and another for PiH’s loan collection. After completion of the residency the winner will be offered a two week solo exhibition at the Menier Gallery in March 2010.
PAYMENTS: fee £10,000.
