WHO: applicants with a Doctorate or Master of Fine Arts degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate area and a record of professional accomplishment appropriate to their rank. Practitioners with teaching experience will be especially desirable.
WHAT: Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Visual Art (Jewelry Design)
WHEN: to commence in August 2009
PAYMENTS: competitive salary, tax-free in the United Arab Emirates plus benefits package
DETAILS: to teach in, and further develop the relatively new area of Jewelry Design at Zayed University, as well as other areas of visual art and design and to contribute to interdisciplinary courses in the University\'s core curriculum. The ability to teach using Rhino software and other 3D programs is desirable, as is knowledge of rapid prototyping. Skills in other areas such as photography and Adobe suite software will be an asset, as would experience with graduate programs. Experience or interest in teaching in new cultural contexts will be a strong asset. Interviews will be conducted until the position is filled.
