Huddersfield PhD Studentships
WHO: highly motivated applicants with a Masters Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
WHAT: three full time PhD studentships
WHEN: for three years
PAYMENTS: £12,900 per year with full tuition fee remittance. Part-Time Studentships are also available, covering fees only.
DETAILS: at The University of Huddersfield’s Centre for Research in Interdisciplinary Creative Practice (CRICP) within the School of Art, Design and Architecture. Proposals are sought that can be located within the Thematic Research Units: Sustainability and Ecology in Creative Practices; Digital Media: Materiality and Performativity in Creative Practices; Creative Knowledge and Cultural Economies; Constructed Environments: Space and Place. Practice-led or history and theory-based proposals may be proposed in the studio-based areas of design, contemporary art, applied arts and architecture one specifically to be located at Yorkshire Sculpture Park to work with the National Arts Education Archive. Applications are assessed on intellectual merit and contribution to strategic priorities, and in relation to supervisory capacity. Bursary students will be expected to be working ‘in residence' at the University of Huddersfield and are expected to contribute to teaching and/or research support activities (up to six hours per week).
