Call Out for a Writer and a Musician for Gi Art Project at GoMA

WHO: freelance writer/storyteller and an experienced freelance musician/sound artist

WHAT: The Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA) is looking for an experienced freelance writer/storyteller and an experienced freelance musician/sound artist for a collaborative project between Glasgow Libraries and GoMA as part of Glasgow International Festival, Gi. The project aims primarily to target BME (Black & Minority Ethnic) young people from different areas of the city, and to engage them in a programme of workshops exploring the use of words and sound in response to GoMA’s forthcoming Gi exhibition Tomorrow by Fiona Tan, and in relation to the Gi 2010 themes of Past, Present and Future. The culmination of this project will be an exhibition in GoMA to compliment Tomorrow, online displays and media for Library and Glasgow Museums collections.

WHEN: The project period will be April - September 2010, with the core project delivery happening May-August on a weekly basis.

PAYMENTS: It is anticipated that the project will involve around 35 hours delivery, with an additional 30 hours preparation and development time, resulting in a maximum fee of around £1,800.
