WHO: Artists, curators, art writers.

WHAT: We wish to inform artists that several studio spaces will become available for use over 2010-2011.  We are currently inviting applications for Project and Membership Studios and also to the TBG&S Visual Art Curator/Art Writer’s Studio for 2011.

WHEN: Project Studios will be available for short-term use and for varied periods, ranging from one month to one year. Awards for Project Studios are usually made to younger, emerging artists who demonstrate clear artistic talent and the potential to progress in their career. Three Year Membership Studios are awarded to artists who are in the process of establishing their career and trajectory or to established artists. The Visual Art Curator/Art Writer’s Studio is awarded on a project basis and for varying periods of time: six months to one year to curators and art critic/writer(s) who are actively engaged with contemporary visual arts discourse and practice in Ireland.

CHARGES: A processing fee of €20 should accompany applications. Please note that the same €20 fee covers the two applications if an artist is applying to Project and Membership Studios. For international artists, there is the facility to pay the €20 processing fee by credit card. Please contact the office at TBG&S to do so. Studios are of varying dimensions ranging from 21m/sq to 55m/sq and are have 24 hours access. Fees for studios are considerably subsidised and rents range from €179 to €273 per month inclusive of heat, electricity etc.  Artists can avail of wireless internet access in their studios for an additional monthly cost.  The studios are not residential studios.
