WHO: The Art Department at Haileybury seeks to appoint an inspirational textiles specialist to become the school's first Artist in Residence.
WHAT: The successful candidate will be required to take on some teaching within the department, up to approximately ten 55 minute periods of teaching per week. Experience of producing screen printed textiles would be an advantage. Haileybury is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. Applicants for the above post must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including reference checks with previous employers and a criminal record check via the Criminal Records Bureau.
WHEN: The appointment will be for a two month period during the second half of the Autumn term 2010, from mid October until mid December. Closing Date: Tuesday 6th July 2010.
PAYMENTS: The post carries a gross salary of £1,000 per month and space will be provided in the department for the person appointed to pursue their own practice and to exhibit work produced.
