Craft Showcase
WHO: crafters making jewellery, ceramics, textiles, glass and metalwork.
WHAT: Alfred East Art Gallery, Kettering is seeking proposals from high quality craft makers wishing to exhibit and sell their work. Exhibition slots are monthly and run through the year. The case is situated in a corridor/exhibition space which links the Gallery to the town’s library and therefore has a large number of visitors passing it. The case is fully secure and all work is insured whilst on the premises. The artist is expected to take responsibility for one-way delivery of the work to the Gallery. The Gallery can offer promotion via its quarterly ‘What’s On’ brochure, which is distributed widely, as well as the museum and gallery pages of the Kettering Borough Council website and any other additional publicity that may be carried out. As this is a new venture, artists should be aware that the Gallery does not have a strong record of selling works of art or craft but it is hoped that as it becomes more well known sales will gradually increase.
CHARGES: no hire fee, just a small sales commission.
