Questions & answers
I am looking for a Sale or Return (on Consignment) agreement that I can use with galleries? Is there something on your website?
The artist's contracts toolkit is exactly what you need. The Sale or return agreement within the Contracts builder will help you create an agreement for work 'on consignment' or on a sale or return basis to galleries and shops. Just go to www.a-n.co.uk/toolkits and login. You need to register to use this toolkit as it saves your data so you can return to it and amend for other occasions. You can use your a-n login as your registration details if you prefer.
Can The Artist's Contracts toolkit be used by organisations contracting artists?
Although prepared with artists' needs in mind, The Artist's Contracts tool is equally relevant to organisations wishing to create fair contracts when working with artists.

Do I need to be a subscriber to use the toolkits?
The artist’s fees toolkit and The professional development toolkit were funded by the arts council - these are free to use. You do not need to be a subscriber to register and use these.
The artist’s contracts toolkit is only available to subscribers.
Please note that the toolkits require a separate username and password to your subscriber (if applicable) login. Please register on the toolkits page.
If I am a subscriber, do I need to register separately to use the toolkits?
Yes, you need to register separately on the toolkits page. If you are a subscriber many people find it easier to set the same username and password for the toolkits as for your subscription, so it's easy to remember. You need to register so that your data is saved and can be retrieved when you return to use the toolkits again.
Please note that for the Artist's contracts toolkit you will be required to enter your subscription login details first and then your toolkit login details, as this toolkit is a subscriber only resource.
The toolkit login is not recognising my password. Why?
Please make sure that you have registered for the toolkits and set your username and password (you can do this on the toolkits page), as there is a different login for the toolkits, which is separate to your subscriber login.
