NAN survey competition winners
Thanks to everyone who took part in the Great NAN Survey on our www.a-n.co.uk/nan. Five lucky artists will receive great books on art courtesy of a-n and its fabulous Communication Team:
Kirsty Hall, Bristol , wins The Drawing Book by Sarah Simblet.
Amanda Belantara, Manchester , wins Digital Art by Christine Paul.
Neil Callaghan, Tregaron, wins International Dialogues about Visual Culture, Education and Art edited by Teresa Eca and Rachel Mason.
Camilla Stacey, Weston-Super-Mare wins The Personalised Surface – New Approaches to Digital Printmaking.
Kelvin Harvey, Llandudno wins The Pacific Arts of Polynesia & Micronesia by Adrienne L. Kaeppler.
The NAN survey was designed as part of our mission to advocate and promote the activity of artist-led initiatives. It makes the case for better representation of artists' groups in the UK , their aspirations and their value in society.
The survey’s findings were published at the third Creative Regions research Network seminar in Birmingham , where I presented The Gift controversy: public policy and social impact of the visual artists in the UK a paper exploring national art strategy, social geography, politics and professional practice related to the social impact and the figure of the visual artist.
