Bankley House Studios in the south Manchester borough of Levenshulme was set up in 1992, and officially became a co-operative in 1998. Bankley Studios Gallery was founded in 1996 by Brendan Fletcher, the first Gallery Manager, as a project space for new and emerging artists. It now has an exhibition program of roughly 8 exhibitions per year.
