'Amorphous combustion' was a-n's first UK Networking Artists' Networks event, held in New Lanark on 27 March 2004. Devised by Jason Bowman it put forward experts from outside the visual arts and facilitated debate on the notion of a network, its designs and behaviours. The material below includes an overview of each presentation plus a wide range of responses from artists and curators who attended, to the ideas and models outlined.
