Emily Druiff (ED) is employed full time by the University of the Arts, London as Director of Peckham Space and Sophie Hope (SH) is self-employed and an AHRC-funded student doing her practice-based PhD at Birkbeck, University of London. They discuss their different experiences of practice and employment in an attempt to understand what it really means to them to be 'independent'.
