I create work to interpret sights, sounds and occurrences of ‘the everyday’. I focus on indeterminate qualities inherent in the overlooked and unobserved, hidden in full sight; such as a puddle or shadow. Through my practice I want the subject or object to be seen and felt by the onlooker, to see what I see. The ambiguous qualities in my work are important, they are a journey of visual and experienced feelings. I specialise in conceptual work, particularly installations and site specific response, keeping a completely open mind to what I experience. I try to free myself of any preconceived ideas, ready to absorb, explore and develop the multitude of ideas that spring from new input; relishing the opportunity to immerse and lose myself within the creative portal of discovery.
