I am a painter, occasional print and artist book maker, currently working from a studio on a farm just outside the village of Stonegrave in  rural North Yorkshire. I graduated from The Surrey Institute, Farnham (now UCA) as a mature student in 1995, fell into teaching for 10 years and then moved to Yorkshire. Ill health put paid to my immediate plans for kick starting my career, hence the title of this blog.  Now fit again, I am networking, making work, exhibiting and an active member of Ryedale ArtWorks, an artist led community.
