Weve had an excellent quality of response to 2005degrees unedited, our critical showcase of graduate exhibitions and new writing. Christine Durrant reviewed Swindon Colleges Drawing for Fine Art Practice including Deborah Edwardess gentle narratives [that] conjure up a quiet surreal sadness and Leonie Tarrants paintings that playfully suspend abstract shapes, intercepting formal horizontal and vertical stripes with daring use of colour; K Drummond describes Catriona Phillips work (of Grays School of Art and Design) as beautifully-painted images, depicting strange mish-mashes of what might be psychological archetypes. Imagine James Ensor painting after a bit much sherry trifle, and Bianca Winter feels that Nottingham Trent graduate Lori Amors work stands head and shoulders above the crowd with her phenomenal installation Storeroom. As the first of our forays into the unedited realms of publishing where reviewers have been able to submit text for publication via the site and upload images of graduates work wed like to thank everyone who has taken part so far.
