Design feature
Ceramic artists Elise Austrin, Karen Atherley, Jo Davies, Akiko Hirai and Joanna London are amongst exhibitors in ‘Handmade 07’, being held at Chelsea Old Town Hall 27-30 November.
The event brings together over seventy makers and designers including those working in ceramics, jewellery and textiles, many concerned with creating eco-friendly goods that contribute to good environmental practices.
The show focuses on quality, design and style, with a wide range of unique one-off or limited edition products available either to view, purchase or to commission. Many of the designer makers are already known for their work, and the remainder chosen as representing new, emerging talent in their field, including recent graduates from Royal College of Art and Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design.
