This month sees numerous milestones and celebrations for a-n: firstly, Interface is one year old and to mark the occasion, Reviews has been compiled by its Online Editor Rosemary Shirley whose selection of Interface entries from the past twelve months demonstrate the quality and potential of online reviewing.

If you haven't already done so, join the online community by reading the reviews, adding comments and posting your own contributions, as well as posting your free listings on What's on. We've seen a-n subscribers totalling more than 12,000 for the first time ever, and RCA graduate Naori Priestly - featured in this issue - recently became the 10,000th AIR member. Both statistics are a clear indication that a-n is maintaining its relevance and value to an increasing diversity of visual artists and practitioners. The Opportunities section focusing on International residencies complements the newly-launched www.a-n.co.uk/jobs_and_opps. Here, you'll find not only comprehensive listings of salaried and fee-paid work and a host of other opportunities, but reports on 'who got what', quick routes into good practice resources and a new Employer index, collectively providing a fresh focus on the environment for work and career development in the visual arts.
