In the second part of our focus on open studio events we profile four organisations providing space as well as the opportunity to exhibit and sell.
Florence trust The Florence Trust Summer exhibition acts as a showcase for the resident artists at the end of their year-long London residency. Each year a curator and writer produce a full colour catalogue which is marketed to the art world and the wider general public. For many artists their year at the trust marks a turning point in their artistic career. The Summer exhibition private view is on Friday 4th July, 6.30 - 9pm and the exhibition is then open daily 12 - 6pm, until July 16th.www.florencetrust.org Westland Place Studios Westland Place Studios provides working studios for eighteen artists, and also has a large two bedroom flat with its own studio space. There is an interactive atmosphere among the artists in the building, whose practices include painting, sculpture, video and stonework. An open studios exhibition is organised annually.
