Sally Booth beat competition from artists across the UK to win the annual £5,000 Adam Reynolds Memorial Bursary 2009, organised by Shape. She will be artist in residence at the Bluecoat, Liverpool until April 2009. Selected from a strong field of thirty-two applicants, her work draws on colour and transparencies, merging painting, photos, illustrations and line drawings to represent her unique gaze and way of seeing the world.

Katie Davies and Trish O'Shea are recipients of Sheffield's Town Hall residencies, the first within a functioning town hall in the UK. The work created during the residencies will be shown within the Town Hall.
