Kate Brundrett is Online Editor for Jobs and Opps, business advisor, visual artist and AIR member.
Founder of The Cumbria Network – a support and networking hub for some 1,000 artists and instigator of its award-winning website – she holds a BA in Fine Art, an MA in Arts Management and most recently qualified as a SFEDI Business adviser, working in and around Cumbria.
She was co-founder of FRED – “an art invasion” across Cumbria, that has become the largest site specific festival in Europe – and has worked with a number of galleries and artists groups across the UK in nurturing their critical programmes and professional development. In 2006 she contributed to the future of the creative industries on a national level at 11 Downing St.
Before returning to Cumbria, Kate was involved in the early stages of Area10 project space in Peckham, a 22,000 square foot warehouse in south London that was developed as an experimental art and performance venue, and worked at the Independent as a graphic artist.
Whilst remaining a practitioner in installation and graphics, other projects include project managing and consultation to both artists and strategists on cultural and creative development issues.
