Teaching at Leon is challenging but always rewarding - be warned, working here could seriously change your life! Leon School and Sports College is an 11-19 school, which was designated as a specialist Sports College inSeptember 1998 and has been so since. To compliment a SportsMark Gold award we are also recognised as ArtsMark Gold. The valued contribution of Art is evident in this award. The successful candidate would be working as part of a highly successful department in which 94% of Art learners achieved a GCSE A*-C grade in Summer 2009. The Art Department offers BTEC, GCSE and A’Level courses. The Art Department has a strong team ethos with high expectations of learner’s achievement and behaviour. Leon School and Sports College is an 11-19 school, which was designated as a specialist Sports College in September 1998. Our outstanding facilities include a Sports Hall, Fitness Centre, Swimming Pool, Astroturf and spacious playing fields and a superb new purpose-built art facility. The successful candidate would be working as part of a highly successful and expanding department. Duties to include: Prepping materials and setting up equipment for lessons; Organising and stock keeping of materials; Supporting staff during lessons; Small group instruction; Running Community Art projects. Temporary Teacher of Art [ 12 December 2008 ]
Leon School and Sports College is an 11-18 school, which was designated as a specialist Sports College in September 1998. Our outstanding facilities include a Sports Hall, Fitness Centre, Swimming Pool, Astroturf and spacious playing fields.The art department has second specialist status within the school and an Arts mark gold rating. It has a superb purpose-built facility and the school has a brand new Arts centre including theatre and gallery space. Our Department offers Art at KS3, GCSE and A Level with a high standard of teaching and learning within the department.
