Applications are open to all potters seeking an opportunity to present and realize a project in a rich cultural environment. Potters who have been working independently for at least one year may apply for an individual residential work period in Dehua Yueji Kiln International Contemporary Art Center, Dehua, China. A work period lasts 2 months. On admission potters are provided with a private apartment and workspace. The residence includes kitchen and dining area and wireless broadband Internet access. Up to 11 individual work periods are available at any given time. Dates for the periods are staggered so as to offer exhibitions for attending artists as well as to offer the opportunity for artists to share their experiences with a maximum number of attending artists in residence, and other local artists. Work Studios offer facilities for working in clay including basic glazing ingredients, three wheels, one slab roller, one electric kiln, one wood-firing salt kiln, and two 33-meters-long wood kilns.
