CAMBRIDGE, UK
Richard Newcombe Court is a brand new contemporary building in central Cambridge. It comprises 40 flats and communal facilities for people over 55 years who have a care need. The building has many eco-features and a beautiful courtyard garden. The brief is to produce a bespoke and permanent art work within the boundaries of the development that creates strong genus loci and enriches the area and the community. The project is a two stage commission the first part is product led, resulting in an installed, beautiful piece of bespoke art work, and the second stage is process and community led, to engage the existing residents and those new to the area.
