WHO: British artists resident in the UK who have neither had nor are planning a solo exhibition in Japan. The Prize is open to artists working in any medium.
WHAT: The Daiwa Foundation Art Prize is an open submission prize which offers a British artist a first solo exhibition in Japan. The winner will be awarded a £5,000 participation fee, travel and accommodation costs to coincide with the opening of the exhibition in Autumn 2012.
WHEN: Deadline for applications: Monday 26 September 2011. An exhibition will take place in Autumn 2012.
PAYMENTS: Application by email is free. For posted applications a £10 administration fee will be charged.
