WHO: Applications will be considered from professional textile makers based in the South East of England with a high standard and quality of work.
WHAT: Farnham Maltings is inviting professional textile makers to join maltings makers: a textile maker’s network. Run by its members for its members, maltings makers will support the professional development of makers and artists from all textile disciplines. As a member of the network you will have access to: regular monthly meetings with like disciplined makers and artists; skill sharing opportunities both craft based and business knowhow; talks, demonstrations and master classes given by industry professionals; shared exhibition opportunities; a virtual network providing a discussion forum and support mechanism between meetings.
WHEN: Regular monthly meetings, held at Farnham Maltings, will enable makers to exchange ideas, share skills and exhibit as a group. Makers will need to be willing to engage with the group while contributing to its growth and development. Deadline for applications: midday on Monday 16 April 2012.
CHARGES: Membership is free and if oversubscribed will be decided by a selection panel.
