WHAT: Postdoctoral Research Fellow - 'Poetry Beyond Text : Vision, Text and Cognition'

DETAILS: ‘Poetry Beyond Text' is an AHRC-funded collaborative project involving researchers at the Universities of Dundee and Kent, and is an investigation into the reception, creation and interpretation of works of art which combine poetry and images. The project will draw on the methodologies of literary criticism, psychology and fine art, and the research outcomes will include exhibitions of creative works as well as critical and theoretical articles. Knowledge of or interest in psychological approaches to the Arts (particularly eye-tracking and experimental aesthetics) would be an advantage. Applicants must have good organisational and communication skills, and the ability to work independently. This post will be based in the School of Humanities (English) at Dundee, but the researcher will also spend time in the Schools of Psychology and Fine Art.
