Casual Artist Educators (Glass)
WHO: artist educators with experience of delivering sessions in the following areas of glass specialism; slumping and fusing, casting and sculpture, Pate de Verre, jewellery making, glass technology, bead making, lampworking, cold working, glass blowing, glass printmaking, stained glass, glass etching, sand casting and recycling. Interest from artist educators who deliver sessions with links to the history of Sunderland, the history or science of glass and architecture will also be considered.
WHAT: the National Glass Centre is developing a team of artist educators to be employed on a casual basis and is seeking expressions of interest from artists who have experience in delivering creative and practical educational sessions in glass (as well as sessions inspired by or with links to glass). Artist educators will deliver a range of one-off sessions, courses and longer term projects on-site at NGC, with access to NGC's glass making facilities, and off site. Artist educators will have proven experience of delivering creative and practical sessions to a range of schools, colleges, universities, teachers, youth groups, community groups, families or adults.
PAYMENTS: £15k-20k pro rata.
DETAILS: NGC will offer work as and when it becomes available to appropriate artist educators. Rates of pay are dependant upon experience. All rates of pay are inclusive of all holiday pay and any other benefits.
