International 08 Made Up [ 1 September 2008 ]
This year for the Liverpool Biennial - Independents SoundNetwork is inviting submissions of stereo (and mono) audio works to be distributed around Liverpool and beyond via a free audio CD. The overall theme for this year’s International 08 biennial is ‘Made Up’ and they are looking for responses to this through high quality and innovative sound, music and audio based art. Interface Amnesty [ 4 September 2009 ]
Inspired by a trade fair scene in the 1974 Coppola film 'The Conversation' and your local jumble sale, Interface Amnesty plays with the conventions of interface design, music technology products and the presentation of interactive art. Interface Amnesty is a fringe event at Abandon Normal Devices, a festival of new cinema and digital culture. Invited artists, hobbyists and makers will be show-and-telling self made, developed and hacked devices for playing sound and music in a free trade fair/market style setting. Read full listing…
