Neons- Public competition for an artistic lit signboard. [ 31 January 2011 ]
The Contemporary Art Funds of the City and State of Geneva innovate in the field of art in public space by producing artistic luminous installations for a period limited to five or ten years. This project already comprises six installations of the following artists : Sylvie Fleury, Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, Nic Hess, Christian Jankowski, Jérôme Leuba and Sislej Xhafa. Two additional signboards as well as an exhibit, a symposium and a publication will be carried out in March 2012. NEONS was specifically concieved for the Plaine de Plainpalais whose perimeter is characterized by its diamond shape which points out to Geneva's lakefront. Read full listing…
